How it could work
An initial contract period is agreed, usually not less than 10 years. The contract sets out clearly the responsibilities and obligations of each party but, put simply, the client retains the ownership of the property and business, approves strategic development plans and retains the profit from the enterprise. A fee structure is agreed between the partners based on a percentage of turnover, together with a success driven fee derived from a percentage of adjusted operating profit. The partners agree an initial minimum investment, together with a schedule for future investment.
