ERIC MARSH - Director - is married to Liz and they have four children. After hotel school Eric worked for five years as a trainee at the Dorchester Hotel in London and George V Hotel in Paris,  followed by five years as  Assistant Manager with Rank Hotels at the Coylumbridge in Scotland and the Royal Lancaster in London. He was then appointed Director and General Manager of Newling Ward's group of five exclusive hotels in the home counties. In 1975 Eric acquired the lease of the Cavendish Hotel on Chatsworth Estate, and in 1998 purchased the George Hotel in nearby Hathersage, operating both through his company Paludis Ltd. As the lease for the Cavendish expired in 2008, he with his co-directors successfully negotiated a management contract for the Cavendish Hotel through the newly formed Peak Leisure Management.

NICK BUCKINGHAM - Director - started cooking at the age of seven in his parent's restaurant. Following further training he took the position as Chef Manager at Newling Ward's Black Lion Hotel, St Albans, In 1975 he moved to Derbyshire to join Eric Marsh at the Cavendish Hotel as Executive Chef. His many accolades include third place in the 1986 world "Taittinger Prix Culinaire International" competition, and in 1987 being made a Master Chef of Great Britain. In 1999, after 25 years at the Cavendish and 43 years of cooking, he opened his own ‘Buckingham's Hotel and Restaurant' in Chesterfield whilst remaining a non-executive director of Paludis Ltd. until 2008.

NIGEL ETCHELLS - Director - previously a main Board Director of Thorntons Plc and Chairman and CEO of European and UK subsidiaries, Nigel Etchells is a fellow of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and has over thirty five years' experience of Retail Businesses and Commercial property. For the last fifteen years he has operated his own successful retail and property consultancy was a non-executive director of Paludis from 1998 to 2008.

PHILIP JOSEPH - Managing Director - joined the hotel industry from school, and has amassed over 30 years experience in both multi national brands and in the private sector, starting as an apprentice in the kitchens of Grosvenor House, Park Lane. His career has taken him through management training programmes with Forte leading to General Management positions, accounting roles and ‘troubleshooting' appointments in ailing businesses in the private sector. He joined the Cavendish and George Hotels in 2001 as General Manager of both.
